IOSH Managing Safely Refresher

This IOSH course will teach managers and supervisors essential safety management skills through engaging virtual sessions, ensuring practical learning and certification.

How long will my IOSH certificate take to arrive?

IOSH certificates are now provided electronically via the IOSH portal. It takes approximately 2 weeks for the certificates to be put onto your portal. You can request a paper copy from IOSH at an extra cost.

When does my Managing Safely certificate expire?

The IOSH Managing Safely certificate technically doesn’t expire. IOSH recommend you take the refresher course around 3 years after your original course, but your certificate doesn’t have an expiry date.

Do I get a workbook for my course?

Is lunch included on virtual courses?

Lunch and refreshments are not included for your virtual course or on most classroom courses. You’ll have plenty of breaks to make yourself a tea or grab some snacks though.

The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed to teach managers and supervisors from any sector the health and safety knowledge they need in their role.

CITB SMSTS

The Site Management Safety Training Scheme or SMSTS for short, will provide you with the knowledge required to comply with legislation and regulations regarding a typical construction site.

CITB SSSTS

Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme or SSSTS is a health and safety training course for managers and supervisors. This two day course provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities.

What happens if you fail the SSSTS exam and trainer review?

If you have passed the trainer’s review and gained between 70%–77% (21 to 23 out of 30) in the examination or achieved the 80% pass rate but failed the safety-critical questions, you may re-sit a different examination.

Can I take the SSSTS Course Virtually?

Yes, you can take the SSSTS course virtually using Zoom Classroom or MS teams and gain the same qualification. The virtual course takes 2 days the same as the classroom-based course but you don’t have to leave your home.

Can I ask questions taking a Virtual course?
