SMSTS Training Course
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
training will help site managers, site agents and supervisors to manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions, and within the context of their management or supervisory role.
Entry Requirements
To attend this course you must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.
Assessment and Exams
This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussions, group work and individual/ group presentations. In addition you will be required to undertake some self study outside of the course. You will be continually assessed throughout the course, plus take a multiple-choice test at the end of the course.
Qualification/ Certification
Once delegates have successfully completed the course they will be awarded with a CITB Site Safety Plus Certificate. This qualification must be renewed every 5 years by attending the SMSTS Refresher training course.
The United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) recognises this course as meeting the required standard for all managers working on UKCG sites.
The SMSTS course is run over 5 days and is accredited by the CITB. Courses run at training centres UK Wide, our most popular venues are Essex, Birmingham, Wakefield and Milton Keynes
