We have the first IOSH Managing Safely course running in Bourn, Cambridgeshire today. The IOSH Managing Safely course runs for 4 days and the delegates will finish on Thursday afternoon.

The course starts with the module ‘Introducing managing safely’ with delegates learning about the moral, legal and financial reasons to manage safely. As a manager what is your role in influencing managing safely?

Responsibility leads to accountability- you can delegate responsibility but you can’t give away your accountability- you’re ultimately accountable

Do you know what a risk is? What is a risk assessment? Do you know how to carry out a risk assessment?

Tell whether you’re doing enough to protect your workforce and others from harm
